St Paul's Catholic College Providing Education For The Diocese Of Westminster
Exam grades 2020
As you are now aware the Government announced that all UK schools, colleges and higher education providers are indefinitely closed from Friday the 20th of March and that all exams (GCSEs, BTECs, A levels) will no longer be held in May and June.
The Government have announced that the students will be awarded grades based on a standardised process throughout the country, between all schools and colleges, that will take into account a range of evidence, for example:
· Teachers forecast grades
· Non-exam assessment
· Mock results
· Prior attainment
Full details of Government proposals can be found via the link below:
The examination boards have also stated that there will be an opportunity to sit exams early in the autumn term should any student wish to.
It is important that all students continue to complete the work set by their teachers however, it is of particular importance that both year 11 and year 13 students do this as it will provide the groundwork for the next stage of their education; Sixth Form for year 11 and Further Education (college, university, apprenticeships) for year 13.
