St Paul's Catholic College Providing Education For The Diocese Of Westminster
In the morning, students took part in the Javelin, Discus, Shot Putt, Long Jump, 800m and 1500m and in the afternoon we had the various running events. All the students who participated did themselves proud putting in every effort to accumulate as many points as possible for their Houses. There were some notable sporting performances from many of the students throughout the day, with some sporting stars of the future to keep an eye on. Whether they came first or last they all had a smile on their face. The students showed off their running prowess in the afternoon in the running races. In one particular race, there was a fantastic sprint battle to the line between George Sudderick and Segun Kusimo resulting in a dip finish to decide the winner, which had the crowds on their feet with excitement. It was lovely to see the whole school get behind the competitors and cheer them on. Mr Biggs and Mr Russell did a superb job with their off-the-cuff commentating and the highlight of the afternoon was the staff relay with Mr O’Reilly storming to victory at the end, winning it for his team. Congratulations to Tarsus who won the Shield for attaining the most points during the day.
