Lenten Fundraising
Over the Lenten season, St Paul’s staff and students have been fundraising in earnest for this year’s nominated charity The British Red Cross - Ukraine Crisis Appeal. In the last couple of weeks many activities have been organised such as cake and sweet sales, raffles, football matches, car washing, film viewings, and the always extremely popular `Sponge the Teacher’.
A big event, which drew a huge crowd, was the Staff Football Fundraiser held last week. It was a very entertaining match with the teachers who took part, putting their all into the game supported by the cheers from the students. Some staff probably felt a little tired and achy after the afternoon’s exertions, but it was all for a good cause. Well done to Team 2 who won 3-0.
Our main fundraiser is the Sponsored Walk. After 2 years of not being able to run this event, it was fantastic to get out in the sunshine last Friday on our Sponsored Walk around Sunbury and Kempton Park. Many staff and students dressed up for the occasion, and if you were out and about last Friday you would have seen dinosaurs, Snow White and the seven dwarfs, Harry Potter, Alice in Wonderland and more!
To date, we have raised the incredible amount of over £25,000. Please remember to keep the money coming in via Wisepay, if you have yet to pay your sponsor money.
We would just like to say a huge thank you to everyone - staff, students, parents and carers for your support. It has been incredible!
